Pawley's Island South Carolina is located at the Southern end of the Grand Strand and is one of the oldest resorts on the East Coast.  Although PI was not incorporated until the mid 1980s, its resort history dates back to the early 1700s  settle - when it was settled by families of nearby rice plantation onwers.
